Biography

Hélène Pelletier (born January 2, 1959 in Charlesbourg, Québec, Canada) is a Canadian former professional tennis player. She reached a career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 130 and an unknown career-high WTA doubles ranking.

At the 1979 Pan American Games in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Pelletier won a silver medal in doubles with Nicole Marois. In 1984, she won her first and only WTA doubles title with compatriot Jill Hetherington at the event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Also in 1984, she reached the third round in doubles at the French Open with Hetherington. In 1985, again with Hetherington, she upset the team of Martina Navratilova and Gigi Fernández in the first round of the tournament in Key Biscayne. She retired in 1986 and is now a tennis analyst for Réseau des sports (RDS), a sports television network in Québec.
